Heat Transfer

In this section, Heat Transfer Tools are provided for estimating the following for concrete sections exposed to fire:

  • Standard fire temperature for a specified duration.
  • Temperature at any point within a concrete section exposed to fire from:
    • One side.
    • Two adjacent sides.
    • Two parallel sides.
    • Three sides.
    • Four sides.
  • Average temperature for a layer at height y in a section exposed to fire from:
    • Four sides.
    • Three sides.

These tools help evaluate the temperature distribution in fire-exposed concrete.
